Potato Aeroponics: Effects of Cultivar and Plant Origin on Minituber Production

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aeroponics is a modern and soilless technology that used for the efficient production of pre-basic seed potatoes, namely minitubers. This study aimed to evaluate effects cultivar type planting material on minitubers in aeroponic facility Guča, Serbia, at short, 7-day harvest intervals. Although cultivation prolonged vegetative cycle all five investigated cultivars, dynamics minituber formation varied between genotypes. Two early maturing Cleopatra Sinora, quickly completed formed small number minitubers, while medium-late late Kennebec Agria, steadily tuberized during entire period facility. The affected three cultivars. Cleopatra, Désirée’s plants vitro origin reached final vines started senescing much earlier than origin. Agria produced largest (53.8–54.5) showed highest yield (9.8–10.5 kg m−2) period, heaviest were by Sinora (15.48 g). In addition, temperature pre-harvest periods significantly tubers harvests mass Désirée.

Effects of paclobutrazol and jasmonic acid on potato minituber production and some plant characteristics in aeroponic cultivation system

In this research, the acclimatized in vitro plants were transferred to the aeroponic system and the effects of paclobutrazol (PBZ) and jasmonic acid (JA) were investigated on the production of potato (Solanum tuberosum L. cvs Agria and Svalan) minitubers. Some plant characteristics were also investigated in this cultivation system, under greenhouse conditions. Plants were foliar sprayed with PB...

Comparison of Aeroponics and Conventional Soil Systems for Potato Minitubers Production and Evaluation of Their Quality Characters

Two different propagation procedures including aeroponics and soil systems were compared for the minitubers production in potato. The minitubers were evaluated for several quality characters. The plant materials were from three cultivars, Agria, Marfona and Savalan. The plantlets were grown in aeroponics and soil production systems at a plant density of 100 plants per m-2 and stem length, root ...
